Now let's start to ask for the foods from the waitstaff.

Mini conversation

In order to preview the full café conversation, the students engage in a mini conversation to
order food. They ask each other, “Vous désirez?” , and give answers based on the model, “Je
voudrais un croque monsieur, s’il vous plaît.” After the students have had a chance to practice,
teacher randomly calls on two students, who have not been partners, to ask and answer the
question.

Copy the A sheets on yellow and the B sheet on blue. Students with different handouts work in pairs to describe the meal on their sheet. They draw their partners meal in the blank.
